I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Rowan University in 1999. My almost thirty years’ experience in healthcare has included both clinical and support roles in emergency medicine, infection control and prevention, long-term/rehabilitation, acute care, and perioperative support including central service and OR materials management while simultaneously learning and earning certifications in all these areas.
Over the last ten years, I have become increasingly involved with perioperative education. As the educator for Perioperative Support Services at Yale-New Haven Hospital, I earned and then successfully prepared other staff for national certifications in Central Service, Materials Management, and Environmental Services from the International Association of Central Service Materials Management and the American Hospital Association. In addition I have designed and conducted CEU in-services education for both.
